Project Overview

The assignment involved developing full detailed engineering designs for 26 sanitary landfills across Egypt, tailored to site-specific conditions and waste profiles. The scope covered landfill cells, sub-base and liner systems, leachate and landfill gas management, final capping, stormwater drainage, and complete construction and procurement documentation.

Our Role

  • Served as Sub-Consultant to the Center for Planning and Architectural Studies (CPAS).
  • Designed landfill cells, sub-base layers, and geosynthetic liner systems.
  • Designed landfill gas venting and collection systems.
  • Developed leachate collection and management systems.
  • Prepared detailed engineering and construction drawings.
  • Developed technical specifications and Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) plans.
  • Prepared BOQs and construction cost estimates.
  • Compiled complete tender documentation in accordance with national and donor procurement requirements.
