The assignment involved a comprehensive technical review of the proposed closure and environmental monitoring plan for Elwafaa Welamal Landfill in Cairo. The assessment covered feasibility studies, engineering designs, closure methodologies, and tender documentation to strengthen environmental safeguards and implementation readiness.

  • Served as Consultant for the technical review of the landfill closure plan.
  • Reviewed baseline studies, environmental assessments, and engineering design documents.
  • Evaluated the proposed closure methodology and final cover system.
  • Assessed leachate management and landfill gas collection and venting systems.
  • Reviewed post-closure environmental monitoring and control measures.
  • Reviewed and enhanced BOQs and technical specifications within the tender documents.
  • Prepared a comprehensive technical review report with findings and recommendations.
