Menya & Sohag Recycling Facilities – Design Review & Construction Supervision

Technical design review and construction supervision of two municipal solid waste recycling facilities in Menya and Sohag Governorates, Egypt.
Project Overview
The assignment involved the technical review of the detailed designs for two MSW recycling facilities comprising four treatment lines. Each facility included waste reception and sorting areas, shredding/chopping units, composting and maturation areas, and supporting administrative, storage, and maintenance infrastructure.
Our Role
- Served as Main Consultant for design review and construction supervision.
- Reviewed and validated structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs.
- Identified and resolved technical and functional design deficiencies.
- Developed and implemented a project-specific Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Plan.
- Monitored construction materials, equipment installation, and finishing works.
- Verified compliance with approved designs, project specifications, and applicable standards.
- Prepared progress reports, photographic documentation, and testing records.
