Project Overview

The project involved assessing the technical and economic feasibility of a 300-ton-per-day MSW treatment facility in New Cairo. The study evaluated Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) and Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) options based on waste composition, supported by conceptual process design, material flow development, site planning, and regulatory assessment.

Our Role

  • Served as Waste Infrastructure Design and Management Consultant.
  • Conducted the technical and economic feasibility assessment.
  • Evaluated MBT and RDF technology options based on waste composition.
  • Developed the conceptual process design and material flow diagrams.
  • Prepared the preliminary site layout for the proposed facility.
  • Conducted a regulatory compliance assessment in accordance with Egyptian Law No. 4/1994.
