Egypt Solid Waste Management Center of Excellence (ESWMCE), Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, is pleased to announce that its laboratory has successfully maintained accreditation by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
The accredited scope covers selected chemical tests for water and nutritional additives, analysis of semi-volatile organic compounds, pesticide residue analysis in various water samples, and selected tests for Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF).
The current accreditation is documented under Scope No. 0222058B, Issue No. 03, issued on 15 June 2026, and valid until 14 September 2027, subject to continued compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and applicable EGAC requirements.
Maintaining this accreditation demonstrates the laboratory’s commitment to technical competence, analytical reliability, quality assurance, and internationally recognized testing standards. It further strengthens ESWMCE’s capacity to provide reliable accredited testing services supporting environmental assessment, solid waste management, research, and engineering applications.
Building on its initial accreditation in September 2023, ESWMCE continues to strengthen its laboratory capabilities and quality systems, supporting the Center’s mission to deliver science-based and technically rigorous solutions for sustainable waste management and environmental engineering in Egypt.
